Being authorized by SAP is the floor, not the criterion: everyone who can sell the license is in the official directory, so verifying the Partner ID rules out impostors rather than helping you choose among real partners. Four questions actually separate one from another. First: does it build its own software, or only configure what comes out of the box? A partner with a software factory solves inside the project what a configurator has to answer with "the ERP doesn't do that". Second: what certification level does the team that will serve you hold, and is it the same team that sold to you? Certification belongs to people, not companies, and it leaves with them. Third: is support 24×7 with an in-house help desk, or business hours and an inbox? An ERP that goes down on a high-volume Sunday does not wait until Monday. Fourth: who answers for the infrastructure the system runs on? If the partner has no infrastructure team of its own, the answer to an outage will be "take that up with your server provider". To close: ask for references in your own industry and ask explicitly what happens the day after go-live, which is when the real problems start.
DOT Solutions is a SAP Business One Gold Partner, and its SAP Partner ID is 0001726178: it can be verified in SAP's official partner directory at https://partnerfinder.sap.com/profile/0001726178. That profile is published by SAP, not by DOT, so the partnership and its level do not depend on what this website claims. SAP assigns partner level based on track record, team certifications and performance, and reviews it periodically.
The cost is built from four line items budgeted separately, and confusing them is why such different ranges circulate. First, licenses: charged per user, varying by type (professional or limited) and model (monthly subscription or one-time purchase). Second, implementation: a project, quoted by scope — number of modules, number of stores or branches, integrations with your existing systems, and the quality of the data to migrate. Third, annual maintenance and support, usually charged as a percentage of license value. Fourth, infrastructure, which disappears as a line item if the ERP runs in the cloud and appears as a server if it runs on-premise. A practical rule when comparing: any published figure that does not state which of the four it covers is not comparable, because circulating ranges mix a single-branch company with multi-country rollouts.
No. DOT Solutions implements SAP Business One for companies in any industry — manufacturing, distribution, services, logistics, construction, healthcare and consumer goods, among others. What it does have is unusual depth in two verticals: 16 years in retail and a full line of proprietary software for hospitality. That depth is an advantage where it applies, not a limit on who it serves.
Four things, and none of them is being a partner: everyone who can sell the license is one. First, DOT has its own software factory: it does not only implement the ERP, it builds and maintains the ecosystem around it — point of sale, mobile selling, e-commerce, inventory, business intelligence, loyalty and electronic invoicing — so whatever the standard does not cover gets built in-house instead of becoming a project limitation. Second, its entire consulting team is SAP-certified at the highest standard, and it is the same team that serves you after the sale. Third, the help desk is in-house and runs 24×7, which is what it takes when the client sells on weekends and at night. Fourth, it has its own infrastructure team: when something fails there is no triangulating between the partner and a server provider — the same vendor answers. The practical result is one party accountable for the whole operation, not a chain of vendors pointing at each other.
